Thank you for visiting my services page. Unfortunately, due to the current circumstances with Covid-19, the constant opening and closing of services, the current closing of schools and demand on my time for home-schooling and the general need to concentrate on the health and wellbeing of my young family, along with the decision to continue my studies with the IHGS Diploma in Genealogy starting in the coming weeks and due to complete in November this year, I have now taken the very difficult decision to cease taking any large projects of work in 2021.
I am however still able and happy to take on small projects, such as researching a specific family member either to discover more about their life or to try and break down a brick wall, whether using online resources or conducting archive research. Archive offices have now reopened, however it should be noted that this is with reduced hours and capacity thus archive research is at present taking longer than usual.
My aim for this year therefore is to concentrate on home, family life and my studies with the ultimate aim to relaunch a new website and new research services in January 2022.
In the meantime, my blog will continue intermittently to chronicle my family’s life during these strange and challenging times, and there may be the odd research/family history related blog associated with my studies 😉
